4/19/98: a reader, Mr. Asai.

My PB2400 starts up by pushing the other keys besides the Power-On-key, so I took it to the Bit Service ( one of the repair service provider in Japan) in Akihabara. They said that they had never seen the problem like that before, but the repairing was completed in two days. Although this report might not be useful for the readers because the problem is unprecedented, I would like to report my case.

Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to speak to the stuff who repaired my PB2400, so I do not know the detail including the cause. The repair receipt says ﾒExchange-Board, Logic, 16MB, 180MHz, PB2400c, Label, Blind-Top, PB2400*2ﾒ suggesting almost all parts have been exchanged.

My PB2400ﾕs serial number is 157400. The other PB2400 users may not recognize the presence of the same problem.
