Malfunction of PC card slot and AC adapter.

6/24/98: from a reader, Chao.

Unwillingly, I have been a frequent contributor to this repair report.Although I believed that nothing more could go wrong, because everything except the HDD and the body of my PB2400 had already been exchanged, it happened again.
This time, the problem was that the AC adaptor did not supply power, and the upper PC slot did not recognize PC cards. I took my PB2400 to an NCR quick-garage, but they did not have a stock of AC adapters for the PB2400. Instead of the PB2400 adapter, they lent me a bigger AC adapter. The upper PC card slot problem was fixed by exchanging the motor-drive unit. Although I had previously reported that I got an abnormally long motor-action sound to eject a PC card, after updating the system software to 8.1, the abnormality has disappeared.
