Hey Guys, I could borrow a G3 upgrade card for PowerBook2400c from Newer Technology Inc. It will be released on the midle of August.

This is my first impression of this card. I'm not going to compare Benchmark results with other machines. It will be discussed on Macintosh Journals which will come out several months later. I tell you about results from my trial.

The feature of this card is 240MHz PowerPC750 processor with 512KB Backside cashe.

The card will come with a spring which is placed under the heat sink.

This spring may be the same of the additional spring of PowerBook2400c/240. I realized it was a spring after finnishing instalation. I thought it was a tool for detaching the CPU daughter card. Oops.

On the top side shows the size of PowerPC750 processor stands out.	On the underside layout is quiet different from its of original card.

Comparing with original PowerPC 603ev processor card, the size of the processor and the number of the cashe chip (One Level2 cashe chip changed to two backside cashe chips) are different.
