Project S: How about 'Skeleton (clear)' body?

The ultimate project!

The top cover is replaced with 'skeleton' (clear) one. Of course this is the first step of this project. The both sides of display housing and the under cover will be replaced with clear parts soon as well. You need to make some small clear parts like click-buttons and keys by yourself to make it 'perfectly clear'.

Now you can see what is inside. It looks incredibly cool together with a crystal ball!

It is possible to make colored clear cases. You can choose any color you want. Also, you can color it afterwards with dye.

You will definitely surprise your friends every time you open your Duo. It must be fun!

Our 'Project S' has just been completed recently after almost one-year struggle. Look at these photos below of a gorgeous 'full-skeleton' Duo! Even a bottom case is clear so you can se almost everything inside your Duo! (Thanks Maakun san!)

You must be wondering if you can do this now. However, unfortunately it is not that simple. This must be a professional job!
You have to be ready to spend quite some money for a start. Then you need to find an expert plastic molder and ask them to do this for you. Since one mold can produce up to 15 clear cases, you better organize a group of at least15 people around you and share the cost. For your information, from our experience, it costs around 200 US dollars for one clear part on a 15 people sharing basis, which means you will have to pay nearly 800 dollars if you want to make your PB 'fully clear'.

Well, as you can see now, it is not easy to get those clear body. But don't be too disappointed! You can make some small clear parts by yourself. Want to try? Then here is the place to go!
